Just tracked down one of my favorite Russian films, their version of Baron von Munchausen, called "The Very Same Munchausen". I just wish more of these movies were available in HD. I hate the idea of watching a Tarkovsky movie in standard def, just begs for a blu-ray release, but MosFilm have been really slow to migrate to HD. Don't get me started on War and Peace, which begs for a full-8k restoration treatment, and is currently only available as a muddy transfer on out-of-print dvds. It'd be like trying to watch Lawrence of Arabia on your phone, like what's the point.
