well, that was discouraging. 200 views and not a single comment about the movie. alright then, let try something else. "Seventeen Moments of Spring" - this one is a behemoth of soviet cinematography. made in 1973. 12 series (hour each) about a soviet spy deep undercover in nazi headquarters in the last months of WW2. this in not your general 007 action. its a psychological drama. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQfYzamr-hM

i guess whole eastern block would count. culture is not confined withing national borders. the next movie don't need introduction. really. Stalker - 1979 for those who is not familiar with tarkovsky's masterpiece - the film based on sci-fi book "roadside picnic". the story is about three man who venture into "zone", anomaly created by unexplained event that defies all natural laws. the rumor has it - within there is a artifact called "the room" that will grant your most desired wish. in my opinion this is the deepest movie of my generation, subconsciously touching your mind about things that truly matter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYEfJhkPK7o

this movie is a rather a niche. it wan made in 1999. but it is soviet soul in it's core than anything else. the genre i would call - underground trash. i am sure that some goons will appreciate for it's gore and state of being. otherwise i wouldn't post it here. not safe for work. green elephant this story is about two officers in the brig. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hk4PedGOn28

time for gentle thread necromancy. today i'll tell you about very heavy and morbid movie about andrey rublev - the great 15th-century russian icon painter. the movie consists of seven chapters that tells their own story of medieval russia and their people. you not gonna be entertained by this movie, so if you decided to chill behind the screen, this is a wrong pick. anyone who seen "red beard" by akira kurosawa will understand me. this movie to you would be more like a journey into the world that american culture never experienced. it was made in 1966 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PAhbcy8mP4 (subs included)
