With a baby girl due in December it's a frequent topic of discussion between my wife and I how we're going to raise our child to have balanced exposure to risk in a world which seeks to protect children in an increasing and sometimes inappropriate variety of ways. I'd let her play with yard darts for the same reason I'm going to let her use a knife at the dinner table, cross the street, ride a bike, go on a date and drive a car.

I don't see there being a whole lot of literal Maxists left around here. The problem is that while on some level of course people realize the absurdity of literal Marxism some on the left treat it something like their pet or mascot.

I think that's a mistake. Both Marxism and libertarianism are extreme psudo-religious cult variants of their respective ideologies complete with strict definitional nonsense and cults of personality. Neither should be treated as legitimate viewpoints for normal adults in real life political discourse and given how rediculous they both are I find it honestly difficult to judge one better than the other.

They altered the combat by squishing what you could equip down to character classes and narrowing the levels of things you could fight to make it generally more wowlike.
