You realize that reducing any sort of major industry in a time when the job market sucks is pretty much a bad idea. Now is not the time to try and move poo poo out of the US, you do poo poo like that when people have more feasible alternatives and aren't threatened by a bad economy. Because if your goal is to stop worldwide pollution it's not going to work, coal burning is just going to move to different places like Bangladesh or india because those people are burning asbestos or old computer parts to keep warm or for fuel and coal is certainly preferable to that. America has coal by the poo poo load, and someone somewhere is always going to get the rights to the deposits because a large portion of the global human population still needs coal by the truckloads. All this does is appeals the environmentalists who just want their immediate area to meet their specific idealistic requirements. And they're not all that friendly to nuclear either since they're one of the main reasons why people are so afraid about atom splitting. They just want poo poo out of their visible sight.
