Jimmy Johns uses Cherry Peppers, but the taste is pretty indistinguishable from plain ol Pepperoncinis, aka the peppers you get with a Papa Johns pizza. You should be able to find them either whole or pre-sliced in the pickle section of the grocery store.

My other favorite pepper-based sandwich topping is Giardiniera, which is a mix of peppers and assorted other vegetables like cauliflower, carrots, celery, and other stuff. Super spicy and delicious

Not technically a hot sauce, but Mrs. Renfro brand salsa has some insanely hot variations, including ghost pepper and a ton of habanero salsas. They have them in the salsa section of my local supermarket.

Has anyone tried Panola's Clear hot sauce? I'm assuming it's just a gimmick but I like trying gimmicky stuff now and then.

If you follow this recipe, they are better than fried wings. Its a bit of a process. Dry the wings, toss with salt and baking powder, leave the wings uncovered over night. Bake to perfection. My wife isn't really big on wings, I make this recipe alot now because she loves how crispy and tender the wings come out after the whole process. Once baked, toss with sauce and enjoy.

It isn't technically hot sauce but Herdez guacamole salsa is delicious and the medium variety is significantly hotter than something like red / green Cholula or Valentina.



It's essentially a salsa verde with avocado and I've been putting it on all kinds of stuff. It's especially good as salad dressing.

ps: make chili with the reapers. once you spread all that heat out among the ingredients it is a lot less intimidating.

I grabbed some Tattoo Creamy Togarashi. It's got a bit of a bite to it but it's not particularly hot. It is essentially the sauce you'd get on a spicy tuna roll, which is just fine with me.
