What a strange keynote. That was a lot more humor than I was expecting. It was a little bit strange coming from Apple, but as weird as that felt, I was laughing along with everyone else. That said, as a workplace that uses Apple laptops and is full of Apple fans (even if a lot of us switched to Android a year ago), the Swift demo left a lot of jaws on the floor.

I'm not a developer, just a mid-level IT guy, but do you guys think Swift would be a good introduction to programming? I've been wanting to learn to code for a while now.

Also, a few of us have been using the 10.10 dev preview for a few hours, so I can throw out some initial impressions if anyone's curious or has any questions. I haven't seen a whole lot posted here yet. Biggest first impression is the boot screen: Black with a loading bar, iOS style.
