I want this show to succeed, and I want to like it, but it's just not doing it for me. I can't see it being renewed for s2. I think it could be great, but it's just failing.

Hopefully it'll pick up.

Ratings are......not good. IMO, AMC is going to toss both their new scripted shows (this and Turn), and try again next year.

I (probably) have some bad news.

AMC renewing mediocre-rated TURN was considered a surprise, and the finale of that had 3 times the total viewers that last Sunday's finale got.

Ratings for Sunday's finale were 570,000 total viewers, and demo is even worse looking. It's done.

Oh well, I lost interest before the end of the season anyway.

Holy cow! Apparently, everything I thought I knew about TV ratings is wrong.

Edit: So it sounds like Halt and Catch Fire actually had much better Live+7 ratings than Low Winter Sun, even though you wouldn't have guessed so by the published numbers. What I think I'm gonna take away from this is that with DVR viewing being unpredictable, the ratings for cable shows are so opaque that there's not much point in predicting show renewal or cancellation, unless it's obviously some monster hit.
