This show is so full of itself. The main character is a ruthless, charming, Machiavellian badass cliche who not only screws some random college know-it-all the minute he first meets her, but also manages to convince her to jeopardize her future because of his dumbass actions. And of course, he manages to predict and plan his way around everyone based on some gut instinct, (oh yeah guise, I TOLD IBM I was copying their machine, don't worry, I'm a badass so everything will go my way), and some of the worst dialogue I've ever seen. And I'm probably full of poo poo on this one because my source is Wikipedia, but I'm pretty sure reverse engineering machines back in the day, even just for fun, wasn't illegal.

passionate dongs posted:This is particularly disappointing to me. I struggle to compare it to Mad Men because that's entirely out of this show's league, but Mad Men knew how to make things I would have no understanding (or care) about and turn them into best moments on TV. Will he/won't he sign a contract, pitches about pantyhose and slide projectors, those were all great moments because we knew exactly what was at stake.

I swear the next episode will just be Joe pleasuring all the male characters in an orgy and then laughing at Cameron because she's straight, and then all of a sudden she turns out to have a dick, and then Joe makes up some random loving reason that this was all part of his master plan to jump start Cardiff Electric and everybody's all, "That Joe is one smart badass!"

ApexAftermath posted:I'm catching up right now and I just got to Cameron's little tantrum where she is like "when you're in the flow you don't think about backing up mannnnn!". Good god I hate this character.
