I can dig crazy anime JRPG looking weapons and stuff, butt the nerds behind bioware always just kind of half-rear end it and it ends up looking boring and dumb and then they're so un-self-aware that they decide its cool enough to use in marketing for their next game

there's nothing wrong with having detailed lore and worldbuilding, but Bioware is so bad at incorporating it into gameplay that yeah they're better off just turning it into Dragon Ball Z
