I thought TW2 combat was pretty good, once I figured out how the mechanics worked. I will preorder this because TW1 and 2 were really good.

I'm pretty psyched for Cyberpunk 2077. It'll be a big divergence from The Witcher sure but the idea of an open world (well, open world in quest hubs I really hope it doesn't try to ape GTA in gameplay) Deus Ex with well written quests makes me so hard veins on my dick start to burst and blood leaks out.

The Witcher 2 had good combat as long as you weren't 1. Really bad at the game or 2. Expecting it to be on either extreme of the Baldur's Gate-Dark Souls axis

I like the writing between Triss and Geralt in the Witcher games because it feels a lot more natural than Bioware-pass/fail-romance-#26 but the Witcher has its own problems that make the relationship on a whole difficult to "recommend" in the context of the game. Issues: Geralt's (potential) philandering is never brought up (unless I missed it), there's a silly rivalry that's handled badly with a gameplay choice in the first game that isn't obvious, Triss' wardrobe in the first game is terrible, she is captured and requires saving in the second game (although otherwise is v. competent), and that's just with the relationship itself. Start getting into the bits where Geralt saves a rape victim mid-rape and then she rewards him with sex later and you have an idea of my trepidation in writing this post.
