OP start locking your doors especially when you are far away from them, when you have kids of your own. If you have a screen door you could leave that unlocked as it indicates you are home. Tell them to knock next time as you were pooping or changing or whatever and you'll do the same for them. If you're feeling awkward you could frame it as "You walked in while I was changing, how about we just knock on each other's doors from now on?"
