Why would the landlord worry about changing the locks unless they were going to move in themselves? In the US it is illegal for a tenant to change the locks without the landlord's consent, and giving the landlord a copy of the key. The landlord owns the property, they have the right to inspect it (with certain restrictions like 24 hours warning). edit: also, this thread is godawful, someone please gas it.
