Xenoblade gets a pass only because its legitimately insane and its terrifying if you actually follow and comprehend the plot too much. It doesn't hurt the gameplay at all, but it does take incomprehensible to a location few can successfully pull off.

As long as the mech combat theme is good I can handle a lack of variety. That feature alone may have made them adjust the budget across other areas such as music.

I'm glad Monolith Soft decided to honor a non-existent agreement I broke with them to only buy a Wii U when it was a Xenoblade X bundle by pushing forward at least one release date. Gonna spoil myself silly watching Japanese footage and crying myself to sleep for not being able to drive my mech on an alien anime world.

I'm hoping for some aliens to put into your party so I can have more variety than anime humans and what looks like the worst  pon ever. Or at least some age hiking if I can only bring Pizza to alien parties.Glad they at least decided to put in some camera features to check out the environments from different angles, but I hope it isn't somehow impossible to just play the game on the gamepad.

To go with the standard MMO boob slider they obviously gave the ladies. At least there are better faces around the bottom that don't look so  as I feared every face in this game would. I can't wait to find every stupid costume this game can come up with.

The only time it swings back to the bad side of JRPG standards is when Shulk finds out who Metal Face is. As insane as the late game will get, that's where the likeable protagonist kind of goes off the deep end of insufferable dumb rear end developing a strange knee-jerk pacifism.

Well this isn't like the original Xenoblade as there isn't much story to spoil outside of a setting that is focused entirely on you making you wander around a single player MMO in with a car robot.
