Pretty funny how he's basically cancelling Perry's economic sponge program because he thinks government shouldn't choose winners in business, when literally every government on earth does. Doubly because somebody in class whom I figured for a hippie was actually libertarian and believed that nations shouldn't promote tourism.

I'm worried about the state of our highways and with the expansion of oil-gas, trucks are cruising those roads in greater quantities. Two instances already in the past year, large rocks, not pebbles, have threatened to launch through my windshield into a passenger's face. I don't begrudge the driving trucks, but drat some of the state highways are not that great to be on. Mock liberals in the news and in legislation til the end of the earth, but keep our roads good please legislators, it is an endearing quality that my car has lasted as long as it has because our roads were mostly alright for so long.

radical meme posted:I was intrigued by the scenes showing American Indian involvement. I seriously didn't remember, was probably never taught, anything significant involving Indian tribes in the Texas Revolution. A quick google lead me to the fact that there are two Indian Reservations in Texas; something else I never knew. I implore the Alabama-Coushatta tribe to immediately build a casino on Lake Livingston. The Kickapoo tribe's reservation is on the Mexico border, south of Eagle Pass and I'm not going anywhere near that place. The native involvement in this is good because the United States used native troops pretty much throughout the expansion of the West, many were hard fought enemies and then they joined once they lost so they can fight the stronger Indians who they originally quarreled with before the US Army and settlers showed up. Other than that I'm pretty sold on Bill Paxton, it would be nice if they show his staunch opposition to joining the Confederacy despite the piece being more antebellum.

He is correct, those 'activists' so poisoned the well on that issue. It was a slam dunk red-meat law to please the base, but imbeciles took it way to far and the people within the movement were legit shady individuals, like the suicide-murderer. Campus carry is whatever. There's not going to be heroes. Even if I was carrying during class hours, if I heard anything remotely like a school shooting was happening I'd get the gently caress out, not look for the perp. Edit: never mind that universities will lock down and students shouldn't be wandering around with a gun drawn like some movie hero, the police can't be sure who you are, or what you're doing. I guess you can blast through the door, but gently caress everybody and anybody behind potential door though, huh? This poo poo is dumb. It's also a major crack in the dike; now that one license has been issued, special circumstances notwithstanding, they're going to have a difficult time continuing to justify denying others who may not be in the same situation. I don't think there's any way to legally justify that only people about to die may get gay married. They might be petty and try to target the license of the couple that was allowed to get it, creating actual injury and yeah this poo poo just cannot stand any longer. They'll try though.
