vuelta is pretty fun for the amount of dumb poo poo and drama thats happening. purito lurking just close enough to make me hope/dream before the inevitable spectacular blowup (or just the ITT, either way) also froome has crashed in a neutral zone and going uphill. are there any other dumb crashes left? maybe break a collarbone while on the trainer?

So have we decided if this Vuelta is more or less believable than Horners? Its real 'omg world class TTer brad wiggins can suddenly contend for GTs' style stuff. I know im cynical and all (coz im a cycling fan) but idk.

A Brit coming out of relative averageness to become capable of sticking with and beating the worlds best climbers....this seems a pretty common theme at Sky. Guessing well have a Thomas TdF win in 2017 or 18

He pretty much has come out of no where when it comes to road stuff. Exactly like wiggins and froome. A plugger who youd sometimes see leading a team up the early parts of a climb as a sacrifice before the real poo poo kicked off....and then... theyre GT winners. Anyway, its just interesting. I havent formed a dislike/like of the guy either way yet, so, I dont really care. Am I completely loving insane or was Milan-Sanremo always a sunday race, coz eurosport are advertising it as saturday (v.early AM sunday) here. That would have totally caught me out if I hadnt of seen that ad.

More motos = higher chance of lovely moto-riding and wrong place/wrong time scenarios. While (it seems) the moto didnt knock him off directly or whatevs, if there were less of them, the chances of a moto being in that position with no where to go are obviously less.

Vando posted:Fractured skull apparently. Seems like he caught his hand in his own front wheel? Bizarre. i watched this like 10 times and the only explanation i could come up with was 'invisible stick through the front wheel', so i guess this makes slightly more sense Midget Fist posted:Is it just me or is that really lame? Most of the others will ride a full season but he's like a delicate bird, groomed and then released to fly at the tour and then die and be reborn next year. you know else who used to be like this? yes, hitler. also, armstrong

VacaGrande posted:"Forgot to apply for a TUE" this is bullshit. besides the obvious why, in a sport like cycling, with a history like cycling, and a reputation like cycling, if youre STILL playing the 'oops we just forgot the paperwork' card youve got to be a level below 'braindead'.

tbf nibbles is coming of a giro win and was roped into helping a guy who he doesnt like. hes just pulling a voekler so he can win a stage later on to rub aru's nose in it. i thought sagan gave the camera bike an elbow flick which made be lol a bit.

Gonna post 2 links. Firstly http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/philippa-york-chris-froome-and-trying-to-understand-the-unbelievable/. And as a palette cleanser, if youd like a free (wants a name and email addy) ebook thing.... This fella used to ride back in the day for the old OLD SCHOOL Soviet Russian team and he had a series of 'articles' in an Aussie bike mag that died last year. Anyway hes put em all together and edited it together. I havent read the book yet, but the bits in the magazine was pretty awesome and I was sorry it died before it wrapped up. https://nikolai.com.au/the-renegade/
