One thing that is often underestimated is that the majority of people watching GT are not bike enthusiasts, the primary reason for watching the tour is scenery (61% scenery, 44% for mountain stage, 32% only for the competition for international audience, it's 23,16,12% for France). Even for those along the road one of the main motivation is the caravan. ( Inrng : Vive L’Indifférence )

 Elmiger, Huzarski, Pichot, Delaplace, Edet et Busche with a 3'25" lead, best ranked at GC is Elmiger at 9'25" from Nibali.  According to le tour medical report, Delaplace is on anti inflammatoire, i e Corticosteroid Cannondale on the front of the peloton but the rest doesn't seem interest to chase. Could be the first breakaway win of the tour. Live start at 2:15pm CET (in 75min)

Tony Martin (OP-QS) et Alessandro De Marchi (Cannondale) with 20 sec lead over the peloton. The peloton isn't supposed to control this stage but if they manage to keep a small break like then things could be different and some attacks from GC riders are possible, someone like Talansky who need to regain time lost yesterday for example. The group with Gallopin currently have +3'50" over the peloton, he is the virtual new yellow jersey, with 28 riders in that group, it's not certain Astana can get the time back in the final.

There was talk about transferring the jersey to Fuglsang so Nibali could avoid the daily press conference etc but Astana probably won't mind giving the jersey to Gallopin. Tony need to manage the cat.1 climb well and stick with the best of his group for the flat.
