The REAL Goobusters posted:drake just dropped a new diss song called taylor made freestyle on his ig. He uses AI Tupac and AI Snoop Dogg to mask the first two verses followed by a verse by drake himself taunting kendrick for not dropping yet He did two diss songs in a row? Like... Back 2 Back?

It is lame but also funny. What a wild time. Never thought I would see AI in a diss track. Push ups was also pretty good. It was over hyped to me but it's a solid track.

Ludacris, Pharrell Williams: Southern Hospitality (EXPLICIT) [UP.S 1440] (2001) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqIvHujkq50 Someone else mentioned Southern Hospitality in this thread. My best friend's older sister had all of the mid/late 90s rap albums and we were WAY too young to listen to them. She went off to college or something and we were in elementary school jamming to her CDs that she left behind lol. I remember hearing Eminem's Kim for the first time and crying because it scared me and I hid under my friend's bed. Out of that whole "listening to my friend's sister's CDs in his bedroom on his boombox" I'd say Ludacris was the most fun. I haven't gone back and listened to any of it, but I have fond memories of being a very young child and hearing Southern Hospitality for the first time.

Also either I'm bad at using Google or it's impossible to find because of this new diss... I'm trying to find an old Drake diss song where he was talking about other Canadian rappers I think? It was a full diss song of him rapping and saying personal stuff. I remember that one being good and I can't find it for the life of me.

Saw Gucci perform at an arena in Duluth last night. Was 20ft away, it was a blast. Only a few post 2016 songs. We got “I’m a Dog!” and “Go Head!” which was surprising to me.

The REAL Goobusters posted:tweet deleted Dang it, should have realised that would happen. It was Tyler bringing out Earl for "Rusty" at Coachella: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/tyler-the-creator-earl-sweatshirt-performance-coachella-2024-1235008145/ (but this article embeds the same deleted tweet atm)

honestly artists jump down from coachella stages all the time to do crowd bits and i have never understood why those stages don't just have some stairs or something. i wonder if the sahara stage that he was playing on is just higher up than the other big stages since it's mostly for EDM acts who aren't gonna come down into the crowd
