Didier Deschamps has never lost a World Cup match as a player or a manager apparently. No reason for him to start now. I have some Stella, is that from the French bit of Belgium?

That was a bad match. It was a World Cup quarter-final between two top teams played with the pace and intensity of a friendly.

JFairfax posted:I have enjoyed the match and think the referee is managing a feisty encounter quiet well. Giving fouls, keeping players in the pitch. Yeah he's been okay. Could have got some cards out, but against both teams pretty much equally.

Total Meatlove posted:That's fine when it's a balanced risk/reward situation where a defender can't stick the boot in 20 times Yeah it seems disingenuous to say "Colombia weren't good enough anyway" when Brazil were allowed to kick the player that makes them good enough out of the game.

am0kgonzo posted:proving once again that goons are human garbage During the Olympics I saw Neymar go down in the box with a "head injury" then sit there rubbing his head for 5 minutes absolutely refusing to get up until he was stretchered off. Meanwhile the game went on down the other end of the pitch because everyone on both teams and the ref and anyone that saw the TV replay knew he hadn't been touched anywhere near his head. As soon as the stretcher carried him to the touch line he hopped off it. I don't wish serious injury on any player but seriously gently caress Neymar.
