Didn't someone do a documentary of some people who built a raft and tried to float it down the Mississippi ala Huck Finn and the raft was like a houseboat on steroids and it STILL got plowed into by a barge in broad daylight? Granted it was nowhere near as maneuverable as a kayak but... I have vague recollections of it being PBS.

Huh, can't find it, but someone else had this same idea and made a documentary of it...

Maybe its this nutty chick...
