Sometimes, in a city this dirty, you need a real hero.
So does Academy Award Winner Halle Berry have a clause that whenever anything ever references her name it has to be Academy Award Winner Halle Berry?

It seems that over the last few years, whenever her name is mentioned it's always led by the Academy Award Winner, for the award she won almost 10 years ago.

I think she's been in so many bad things since then that not only does it nullify the award she got, but it should be the references for her name:

Catwoman's Halle Berry
Movie 43's Halle Berry
Dark Tide's Halle Berry
New Years Eve's Halle Berry

and so on.

I've still to watch the first episode but Academy Award Winner Halle Berry doesn't really strike me with the confidence in a show that I think the marketing is trying to.

In hindsight i wonder if the very initial idea for this story was "what if humans faced extinction from two tropes at the same time? Aliens and developing AI. Let's write a story that expands on that."

Then instead of sticking to bigger picture macro problems with exciting elements such as alien invasions and anti-technology terrorist groups, we got a micro show focusing around Academy Award Winner Halle Berry, her boring as gently caress family drama and a convoluted yet boring "Mystery" storyline involving her work (which ultimately resulted in a uturn with the space people actually becoming good guys at the end).

The alien invasion aspect should have been revealed in the first episode and set up as a constant threat that all the space people are worried about rather than a secret mystery bout space gunk which was promptly mentioned and forgotten about in the last episode. The alien manipulation should have been used as a threat dynamic making it hard to trust anyone. The AI stuff should have spent less time banging on about Ethan being a kid and more on the growth, development and acceptance of a fully functioning "learning" AI being accepted by the world at large.

The show skirted around these issues but they were mostly secondary things to the Family "mah baahby" Drama.

I must have looked away for a second because I didn't even see her.
