I think the first horror VLP I ever watched was Penumbra a couple years ago and now I've been hooked since. I've run through Kamoc's streams and Voidburger's Silent Hill LPs and I'm hungry for more. I don't care if it's creeping-suspense horror or high-tension jumpy scares, subtitled or voice commentary, I love it all. Point me to your fave horror game LPs.
I always quite enjoyed Blister's LP of Cyrostasis: http://bd.baldurk.org/lp/20 , or even though it's a flawed game itself, davidpackage's LP of Amnesia 2: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmx3QdwtLxu20Nd_Xtm5xKfDA7VydUzWX

I'm worried that it might be too cheesy for me to enjoy, but I'll give it a shot thanks
It's nowhere near as cheesy or goofy as the first Phantasmagoria; granted it's pretty dated, but it had a positive homosexual character, some pretty graphic violence, and some incredibly awkward sex scenes. If anything, the pacing of the game is a bit poo poo at times but davidspackage works well enough with it.

I'd want to recommend Ripper: http://lparchive.org/Ripper/ as well but that one ended up being pretty cheesy. I just saw Harvester and figured you might be fine with some level of cheese.

Blister was always a pretty weird guy; I still remember when he green screened himself in the nude for the L4D LP. But Cryostasis was him being as straight as I ever saw him, which also reminds me he did the Blair Witch Project games as well...but those were a train wreck.

Finished Rule of Rose yesterday and idek what happened there but it was good. Niggurath's commentary on Michigan so far has much more editorializing/silliness than I'm used to in his horror LPs, rather than the usual straight narration or explanation, and it's a pretty fun change of pace with that relaxed NPR radio host tone. Plus I didn't realize this was a Suda51 game so it all goes well together.
I kinda misinterpreted it when I did the LP, but the ending is basically while the orphanage was a horrible experience in the end for Jennifer, she was the only person left who cared about the fact of all these poor children that died and if she had continued to block out the memory then all those lives would be forever lost to the abyss of time. I had thought originally it was about letting go, and letting the past rest but she was the only one left to remember. Everyone else only remembered the tragic balloon accident. I feel bad in retrospect having totally missed that being the meaning of the ending, but honestly that game depressed the poo poo out of me and I have no qualms with saying I was choking back tears with some of those updates.

And Michigan was a fun train wreck to do; it's nice to have a change of pace from having your soul destroyed sometimes.

I think the larger issue is that it's currently unfinished in Early Access; so at most you can probably do a general search on youtube if someone is looking for a pointers but a legit LP won't really happen till the game is in a more complete state.

So if anyone is looking for a lot of good roguelike (or lite) content then I'd highly recommend the Roguelike megathread going on: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3720568

Agent355 is doing a pretty fun run of Necrodancer, a couple of guys are doing some insightful runs of DoomRL, anilEhilated just started showing off Ziggurat, and just a lot of other great stuff in there. Especially with the Steam sale going on, if you're not sure of stuff to buy then these LP's might just sell you on some of these games.

Also turns out it's pretty good game and the story goes a few interesting places too, just doesn't have anything to do with XCOM.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be on the master list or the LP Archive and I can't remember the guys name, so this is not an informative post.
