I've run through Kamoc's streams and Voidburger's Silent Hill LPs and I'm hungry for more. I don't care if it's creeping-suspense horror or high-tension jumpy scares, subtitled or voice commentary, I love it all. Point me to your fave horror game LPs.

my dog boyfriend!! posted:Finished Rule of Rose yesterday and idek what happened there but it was good. Niggurath's commentary on Michigan so far has much more editorializing/silliness than I'm used to in his horror LPs, rather than the usual straight narration or explanation, and it's a pretty fun change of pace with that relaxed NPR radio host tone. Plus I didn't realize this was a Suda51 game so it all goes well together. And Michigan was a fun train wreck to do; it's nice to have a change of pace from having your soul destroyed sometimes.

So if anyone is looking for a lot of good roguelike (or lite) content then I'd highly recommend the Roguelike megathread going on: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3720568 Agent355 is doing a pretty fun run of Necrodancer, a couple of guys are doing some insightful runs of DoomRL, anilEhilated just started showing off Ziggurat, and just a lot of other great stuff in there. Especially with the Steam sale going on, if you're not sure of stuff to buy then these LP's might just sell you on some of these games.

You might be aware of the fairly tortuous development that game had so it was interesting to hear just how much things changed and what assets survived the various revisions. Also turns out it's pretty good game and the story goes a few interesting places too, just doesn't have anything to do with XCOM.

What's especially good about his run is that he's showing off the few cinematics I missed and the poorly voice acted audio clips of Laura going back over what you already know. Also he probably doesn't loathe the game, which is always a plus.
