I'm curious when did the industry come around on recognizing wrestling as fake? Like I know the most cited is Vince telling the NJ Athletic Commission that yeah it's fake quit treating us like we're real, but was there any real industry acknowledgement before that? Didn't Vince always kinda play the "it's a TV show" kind of stuff - never call it fake, but never pretend it's really real either?
