rules: - play past the tutorial and pretend it didn't happen unless it was super rad like saint's row the third's so you don't get bored before finishing it like most people who start games do i'm playing FEAR 2 and it has had one really good jump scare that was just alma casually standing behind me somewhere where it was a natural instinct to back up and turn around. gunplay is pretty good but everyone uses submachine guns. dudes take like 3 headshots to take down with the SMG but sometimes there is a dude running around with a nuclear flamethrower (?!) and you can shoot him so hard he explodes in half the atmosphere is pretty good but alma is not done all that well and it would have been nice if she had turned out to not be evil as hell but still creepy as gently caress. i was gonna say friendly but she turned out to be a bit too friendly from what I remember about Fear 3. alma is also like, around so often it's like an escort quest with an invisible friend the controls are wonky as poo poo and unpleasant verdict: probably not gonna keep playing edit: dang, i forgot my mandatory poll AND a tag Doctor Goat fucked around with this message at 01:49 on Jul 13, 2014 |

bad game from a few days ago trip report: How to Survive: it's a zombie twinstick shooter with crafting and rpg elements. it has melee. you should not use the melee. you should not play the game. there's a fairly charming, nicely animated thing where a guy in a welding mask gives you some neat rules on surviving but i hit 20 of them in 2 hours and they lose their charm reallllly fast it has that problem dead island has where you can go to places and if you haven't taken the quest there's nothing there, but it's a notch worse. i uninstalled because I took a quest to rescue a child from a tree, died, and that reset the quest to not taken. then i found the kid in the tree and found out you can't get a kid out of a tree that's hanging on the edge of a cliff without parental permission

no thanks OP I'd rather play Path of Exile, an F2P ARPG I've already spent over 400 hours on without dealing with my backlog in any way

Used the randomiser and got Hexen: Beyond Heretic Worked well with GZDoom which is pretty cool but the level design doesn't seem very good, also very dark I thought using the ice spell to freeze dudes then shattering them with your wand thing was pretty neat but it seemed like it'd get kinda boring doing that all the time made me just want to play doom again really

Hexen's level design is really, really weird. There's tons of cool setpieces and stuff but getting to them is a pain because you hit a switch and a door opened three maps over and inside that door is a switch that opens the door you were standing next to originally. Noitu Love 2: Evolution: this is an A+ game and you should play it very fast, very fun combat, made by konjak who owns you fight by clicking on dudes hella fast which doesn't sound fun but it is. you can also grapple to things and do charge shots using the same clicking, and right clicking puts a projectile shield anywhere on screen that you want it you should probably play it if you got it

Warface is a F2P first person shooter. You run around shooting people and there is a bad co-op mode versus bots. I've not played for too long, but it appears that a huge number of upgrades are paid only (some of them cost real money and expure after a week, lol). The gunplay is completely unremarkable except that you can execute a sweet buttslide where you can still shoot, so TDM servers often devolve into 16 guys scooting around like dogs with worms spraying assault rifles at each other. Also, may upgrades are some terrible WoW poo poo. I was awarded a set of gloves for a week when I signed in for the first time that increase my reload speed by 1.5% or something dreadful.

Completed first level and partially completed a castle of Shovel Knight. It seems like an average platformer and the controls are slightly off for me, maybe because I'm playing on a keyboard. There was already some kind of cute gimmicks to the castle level I tried which I liked, (floating plants that are used for platform jumping, lightning causes brief patches of light in a level). But overall I don't really understand the inventory/rpg/shopping stuff at all. Also I'm terrible at using the controls so I'm having a hard time mustering the will to try the level again after getting killed by a frog. Goons have loved this poo poo but idk maybe it's not for me. Wormskull posted:Shovel Knight... More like poo poo Knight. I will not be returning to this pile of trash. ok i have played the first two parts of The Tiny Bang Story. this is a hidden object / point-and-click 'adventure' game with scenes that look a lot like the machinarium family of games. the graphics are pretty and the music is relaxing, but the puzzles are uninspired and i quickly got tired of the pixel hunting for like the seventeenth colored ball or lever after finding the first sixteen easily. i might still finish it because it's pleasant enough, i guess.

Renegade Ops: You drive a jeep around with a gun on it and there is no reason to ever stop holding the fire button or the turbo button, ever. you get secondary weapons but they're not that fun. if you played jackal for NES and want a worse version that lets you drive through houses, this is for you. if you like video games and you're really bored and there's a hurricane and you have a UPS but no internet maybe this is for you. the leader is a dude with mutton chops voiced by the dude from timesplitters doing a bad gruff voice there is a borderlands style progression tree but jesus christ i'm tired of those already, i get the feeling half the games i play are going to have one. the game comes with an extra character http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=285665604

smooth operators its a call center simulator thats basically cookie clicker when you get down to it you build more calling rooms and callers and then have to build service staff and office staff and crap to manage it all except the maker is a babby coder and everything is shittily implemented so youll have as many janitors as you do rest of staff combined and nothing past your first 3 floors gets cleaned because the janitors check each room in the order it was built and if you have 5% trash in a room on the ground 4 of them will spend half their day rushing down to clean it

A good puzzgame? but it can't be beaten without touch controls according to god tier puzzgamer and gycl champion Med "i" bot. It has rpg elements (jesus christ everything does) and it's a match 3 that works like sideways tetris or something, just look it up if you got it for 79 cents in the humble store it was worth it, otherwise pass it up

Evoland... you know I'm not sure when or how I even got this game but it's okay for what it is. You start with it looking like a gameboy romhack, and then get upgrades like colors and free movement and save points. It's nothing special but I might actually play this more.
