muscles like this? posted:The majority of vampires are like the ones in the morgue scene. My assumption from the pilot was that the infection has one of two affects on you. The majority go all zombified like the 200+ who "died" but a small percentage of people adapt better like the 4 "survivors." The high rise vampires could just be the lucky minority.

I'm willing to bet that the majority of people in the world and in this thread would respond with panicked retreat, crippling terror, or psychotic breaks if an old dude busted into their homes and beheaded their loved one after they turned into a monster and tried to eat you.

"Rudy" is Jim, the CDC guy who got infected and they killed. He was played by Sean Astin who is well known for starring in the movie Rudy. Its ridiculous to complain or mock that the CDC doctors who had worked with him for years and were clearly friends with him to the point where they were familiar with his sick wife were upset about him dying, especially how it happened. They didn't hate him. They were furious at him for what he did at the start or the series, which is totally understandable given the weight of it, but that doesn't mean there wasn't a pre-existing relationship or that it was gone now because of what he did.
