Perks will be your saviour. This is the setup I'm putting in mine:

1 - Necrotic Poison: Dealing poison damage applies a necrotic poison that reduces the targets damage output. It doesn't say how much, but for one point who cares if it's only 10% since you'll be AOE spamming everything.
1 - Siphoning Unit: 10% of all damage you do heals you for that much. Super handy for AOE spam.
1 - Collateral Analytics: Reduces damage done to yourself by 40%
1 - Neutralizer: 20% poison resist
1 - Virus: 10% damage bonus with poison weapons and abilities
2 - Necrotic Bite: 10% damage bonus vs humanoid targets
5 - Thick Hide: Increase base health by 400 (and scales up with level)

That's not many points at all for a huge survival boost in that frame.

You know that cute red panda pet they gave everyone for downtime? You know how it's bugged and has no hitbox and causes every Accord guard to stop whatever they're doing to shoot at it? I wasn't the one who thought of this but I've used it more than once since then. Every time I have an escort mission now I just whip out that pet and the guard will run his rear end wherever you want so long as he can keep shooting your pet. Combine that with a decent Bio frame like the Dragonfly and not only can you keep your escort alive, but make him move his rear end too.

Right now that's the only way to get that vehicle. There has been no mention of it being available via other means but that's no surprise. Right now it being exclusive to the $99 pack is making them some much needed cash for launch. If they made it available via other means like the blue LGV you could make for CY, nobodys wallets would have opened. Just like the original Locust, I'm sure versions of it will feature prominently in future plans to sell red beans or other packs targeting vets before eventually being available for lots of crystite.

Or, you could go to the OWPVP zone and get the 3 person version that has a machine gun turret on the back for no dollars at all! (not available outside of OWPVP)

This is true. The different cores make a bit of a difference on this but not like on live when we could almost AFK while in the air when using high end T4 jets.

The market is still filling up as people try to figure it out. If you're wanting a permanent one, it may be quite a wait but I keep getting them from copper vending tokens so at least the single use versions are plentiful. In the mean time, I'm dumping things on the market while I have 16 slots and no fucks to give.

Oh good, I thought it was just me unable to log in until I checked the official forums. Looks like it's going to be one of those nights. Oh well. I probably would have wound up thumping in Sertao for some titanium after we did the missions.

I'm really excited to run the new missions with you assholes. I hope things settle down soon so we can get everyone caught up and start doing it. Power Grab is minimum level 18, Risky Business is 21, and BWA is now 24. If you're close to 24 make sure you do the first 5 storyline missions so we can get you through the others. The loot in BWA is amazing for its level.

Good news! It's now built into the default UI so you have a little readout of how many turrets you have up and how damaged they are.

Bad news... They last 120 seconds by default and are more fragile than before.

Bottom line: If your turret(s) aren't on cooldown, it's time to place another.

If anyone with a frame they haven't maxed is close to level 39, let me know. There may still be a bug that relogging after hitting 39 dings you to 40. I'm looking for someone who can verify whether that does or does not still happen.

Oddly, it's not the same height everywhere. You'd think the world would be a giant box, but nooo... I was in a Travelcat going from Thump Dump to Sunken Harbor and ran into an invisible wall which caused me to stall. Further testing allowed me to discover that the ceiling is higher around Thump Dump and Sunken Harbor and lower in the middle near Copa / Trans Hub.

It is intended. In my experience, it's closer to 50%. I base that on all the S3 thumpers I dropped on Copa the other night. I was leaning towards 75% Chosen wave but then it started to get normal again. I've dropped or been part of about a dozen squad thumpers recently and really like the change. The changes to difficulty and payout for squad thumpers makes way more sense now.

Mostly the latter but there's supposed to be an actual reputation mechanic that it uses to put you on one of the 4 factions in OWPVP. There's not a way to see what your reputations are right now that I know of.

They're missing out. This means the free Baneclaw raid is available. We should get on that.

Also, the next stage of the push back will never happen if people don't get out and get the infused dark crystite.

Nalin, I don't have the numbers in front of me right now but if memory serves, a stock squad thumper has a higher yield than a heavy personal. It's just not useful for anything other than iron. It scales up from there.

The big reason why people are dropping squad thumpers in the newbie areas is to get a fuckload of crafting components like shells and bones. Farming level 8 guys with a level 40 frame is pretty easy. Shell fragments and bone chips are hard to find otherwise.

As for the differences in the various bikes, the P1 you get from the Dredge quest has Average for all of its stats. It has a top speed of about 53 kph and handles like a pig. The one you unlock at 40 has Good for all of its stats so it is much better. Any of the bikes you buy off the Red Bean store has Excellent for the stats and are what we are used to with the Locust and all the other R-54 variants.

If I had to rank performance, I'd say the P1 is 50% as good as the bean bikes. The level 40 bike (who's name eludes me) is only 75%.

In my opinion, it's well worth the money to buy one of the bean bikes. Not only do you help keep the game running but you get to have the best performing bike at level 1 without having to deal with one of the most frustrating quests.

Actually, blue has +2 as well. If you wanted to make a mid level blue deployment module it may only have 9-10 power but you'll get your precious +2 without breaking the bank. Add in a blue or purple Lasting module and a hybrid blue slot that adds duration and you're in business. Since I've done that I don't feel like the Bastion is terribad anymore.

As for the feeling lonely out in Copa, I completely understand. Keep in mind that Copa content can be blown through in an hour. You'll see more people when you get to Trans Hub and beyond. Things start to slow down a bit there and Trans Hub is the new hub of activity like Copa used to be.

I stopped inviting passers-by into my thump groups because thumping is bugged right now. Sometimes the group members don't get rewards but you always get participation rewards if you do at least 20% of the kills/damage during the thump.

Now that the squad thumpers are changed, that may alter the way random groups happen again. Like you, I remember easily getting invites during thumps way back in the day.

Speaking of thumps, I checked the numbers.

Stock Personal: 250 split - Iron
Personal 1: 275 split - Iron and Tungsten
Personal 2: 300 split - Iron, Tungsten, and Titanium
Personal 3: 325 split - Iron, Tungsten, Titanium, and Uranium
Stock Squad: 300 each - Iron
Squad 1: 325 each - Iron, and Tungsten
Squad 2: 350 each - Iron, Tungsten, and Titanium

Yes. That's been one of the major reasons why running personal thumpers as a group was usually better than running smaller squad thumpers. The dynamic has changed again giving Mathhammer nerds another chance to play with their calculators to figure out a new efficiency chart.

Also, I think I'm done with the sweep for now. I kicked and invited about 50 people. The rest of the names were either people I've talked to online today, saw online as I was doing it, have big boobs, or were so far down the list I figured they had to be new invites.

As any good leader I made sure to send out invites to everyone I kicked with a friendly, heartfelt, canned copy/pasted message roughly explaining what happened. I'm also fairly sure I typed some peoples names wrong when sending out the invites so... Mission accomplished!

I really hope someone makes an addon that shows who's been offline for months and allows for easy kicks / invites. Perhaps I should butter up Arkii or Hanachi again. I've asked LK for too much already.

Grrr... Stupid bone chips. That's the biggest road block to my crafting. I've dropped thumpers all over but cannot find a good way to farm them like I can farm all the others. Anyone find a good method to get more than 4-5 per thumper?

There's a brief description of each frame in the OP. As for the terminal, go to options->keybindings->social and set Army to a key. Far easier than using the terminals in Copa.

We tried that before. It's doable. The leader at the job board, three other people at the usual spawn locations, and maybe a 5th for whatever reason. You could blow through jobs pretty fast but the rewards scaled based on participation.

Confirmed. Recluse is naaaasty. My crossbow has an AOE of almost 6 meters and does 4x more damage during the DOT stage than the initial hit. Considering how long the cloud on the floor lasts, you can specialize in area denial at the expense of having to take every perk you can to minimize your own vulnerability to self damage and poison.

Are you still not seeing the headshot damage on your Night Hawk? I play that frame a lot and know the headshot damage is there, but it's not the 200% bonus that most frames get. It was nerfed down to 30% bonus because with Ambush and other perk stacking I was regularly making GBS threads out 60k damage headshots, even while hip firing. Naturally, that was unintended so Night Hawk got brought down a peg or two.

Now, who wants to do some BWA Hard farming?

1: Ambush is 30%. Which healing ones? If you search on the official forums, you'll find more info.
2: Yes.
3: Yes. It's super rewarding to watch a chosen sniper take a shot at you and see the beam reach the edge of the field and then curve into the center. Larger things like plasma bolts and grenades are intermittent.
4: No.
5: Known bug.
6: There was, but I don't think there is right now.
7: I don't know who that is.
8: You're going to need to expland on that one. It looks like three separate issues. Bastion has nothing to do with energy drain, the alt fire for the sticky grenade launcher detonates the grenades, and the bastion is more turret focused than ever. Do you mean the Engineers Tesla rifle (they were switched) because if you do, the alt fire is a repair beam for turrets and such.
