I tried to give this a quick go today and my old character loaded into a tutorial area with an intro cutscene. At the end of the area I got prompted to join what looked like a PVP queue and declined as I had to leave soon. This left me standing between two shuttles with no access to the UI or anything. Now what?

I applied to Goon Squad as Acronia, having fun so far. I can't decide which frame I want to use and not being locked into just one is making it even more difficult  . The game is so much better than last time I played. Which is not a surprise considering it was Copacabana, a handful of missions and a huge empty map. What sort of range does the scan hammer have? Is it as far out as the waves radiate? Do you have to just keep running around whacking the ground or is there a more efficient way to go about finding thumping spots?
