I watched some videos and I could tell from that the game was an exercise in frustration. The characters and everything are all really cool looking it's just they need to be in a different game. Seriously they wrote pages and pages of dota lore, and none of the maps ever depict any of this.

The lore is icing, the only reason to read it is if you think it's cool and maybe to understand the banter between heroes. Everyone is basically from outside the place you play on though, it's more like it's an arena or a battleground rather than where anyone is actually from.

also is that really a serious enough problem to be worth making a rule and saying "dealt with harshly" about it? i don't read all the threads, in fact only a few of them, but this is the only place outside of the dota ghetto that i've really seen any dota chat and even this has been mild as hell. i mean, dota talk is hells of gay, but so are rules in a fyadlite
