I am retarded, so here's a quick question: is there any reason not to use a 64 bit linux for a VM? is there a magic amount of allocated memory where 32 bit is better?

obstipator posted:i have a problem w/ gradient meshes: SVG doesn't support them yet. Whats the best way to create a set of (x,y) points with colors for each, and then have whatever program automatically make a raster of the gradient mesh version of those points/colors at whatever width/height seems good to me? i don't want to do effort to get this done. Alternatively, anything that can parse and display SVG2 on windows would be rad. sned the yostop

I moved my computer tower from the floor to the desk. Turns out it's really loud. How do I make it quieter? And before you ask, it's an AMD FX-6300, and it suits my needs except for the sound issue. Using the stock fan it came with. Basically I'm asking what's a good CPU cooler that won't break the bank.

I replaced my CPU fan. Now my computer is too quiet, making me unable to sleep, as I had grown accustomed to the soothing brownian noise cover. What can I do?

Welp the arris router TWC gave us @ work seems to be struggling under the load of 20+ computers, does anyone know a better business class router I can offload all the... routing off to? lookin @ the Netgear FVS318N or similar but idk if that can actually handle said 20+ computers either

CrazyLittle posted:netgear is... bad. the last netgear unit that i configured because the customer didn't/couldn't do it themselves was early this year, and the latest firmware was from 2011, didn't support ipv6, and each web gui page load took ~30-60 sec. yea I guess I'll look into the cheapest Cisco router option... the cable tech guy swore the router they provided would be up to snuff but it's getting weird with 20 computers connected
