On one hand you don't really need a hole saw, and cheap ones really do suck, plus you'll need to clean the edge up anyway. OTHO, without a hole saw you're looking at a lot of ~5mm holes and then dremel time with loving expensive grinder and sander bits and a poo poo load of time. If you have hours to spend and lots of dremel bits you didn't need anyway, go without a hole saw. If you don't want to spend that much time, spend au$80 for 2min with a quality hole saw.
