If we get enough people for it, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory would be great. There's also a few Source mods that are good. I think next time we should play through TSE.

Be skeptic all you want, but keep in mind that ID, and so Zenimax, owns Quake. IIRC, they consider Quake Live a failure. They don't care about keeping it in the spirit of Quake 3 if they feel they'll make more money mutilating it. Those changes don't just sound like what's bad about modern games, they also "fix" what people who are bad at Quake complain about. e: Holy poo poo so this is actually real.

Yeah stop double tapping your movement keys that's the only way it makes you dodge. I think you can edit the double tap delay in the options but that's not ideal.

Yeah it could be your keyboard, but you could also try adjusting the Dodge Double-Click Time in Settings => Input. Default is 0.25, and the larger the value the more time you have to double-tap (which can cause you to dodge accidentally).
