 Heh. I always thought that the Butcher was a guaranteed quest in single-player mode.

I still love this game for its atmosphere (I agree with whoever said that the sequel failed to reproduce this) and addictive gameplay. I felt so goddamn smart as a kid when I stumbled upon the strategy of putting every single point into Magic and obtaining a staff/book of Mana Shield. That was one of the first times that I felt I really 'broke' a game, and started a trend of feverishly trying to min-max every other RPG I played after I'd figured out the rough maths behind the mechanics.
