PROBLEM
The all star game matters at all. Fan vote.
SOLUTION
Take the actual best players and play them. Have the all star game have home run areas with different run values. Make a base running competition between all the fat guys. Have a horse-style fielding competition. Have trash cans at home and see who hits the ball inside the most. Bat flipping contest along with the home run derby.
