I see haru being the type to take up whatever job he needs to get by ( short order cook who makes a mean mackerel dish? ) and be a beach bum the rest of his life. He doesn't seem driven by ambition. And i think taking up something that requires it ( Pro athelete ) would only lead to him being in a worse emotional state than moping around.
