In a perfect world, the yellow stream would have had things going during the BL one. That's what I jumped in on the two-stream deal in the first place, to provide an alternative during lengthier polarizing runs.

Also Sweden is enduring a heatwave for the historybooks right now, people are exhausted, wasted, the roads are nearly empty compared to how they usually are. It rains and storms here and there but that only adds humidity to the temperatures.

Is there or will there be archived videos/video on demand for these?

Archived on Twitch yes, going by the last two ESA the youtube archiving will be quick also. A good bit of money went into building proper streaming computers for this so recordings are done locally as well, for ultimate quality and capturing absolutely everything.

This practice room activity would have suited the second stream quite fine. Controlling NES via melons.

Specifically DXTR beating Ninja Gaiden this way.

Right now Tompa's got a TAS tutorial on the yellow stream: http://www.europeanspeedsterassembly.com/

Twelve hours of the yellow stream, and now I do not want speedrun marathons without it. A cozy little room for the lower profile, rare titles, catching up on events, TAS stuff, interviews. That was a fine BG&E and I'm very happy about this cozy comfy thing.

(I sent a message along that audio sometimes need a check with donation reader volume and EQ-ing voices to not be inaudible muddy 99% low 1% mid frequency business.)

Digging the focus on the actual gaming, actually wishing one was there, and the shocking production quality instead of sobstories and constant donation readings every minute of every day but sheesh did people get that hard into debt over SGDQ?

If you're calling donators relating stories of people dying of cancer "sob stories" you're a dick, just fyi.

Not sure if that's what you're doing, but either way. :v:

As a rough harsh sounding collective word summing up the experience of hearing them over and over and what nine out of ten people, including those with cancer in the family feel, but never dare saying out loud? Yes. My old man treats cancer like pokemon, he's like the alternate universe Tony Stark where the Iron Man suit is necessary because he's just a blob of tumors inside, we keep cheering him on.

e: Sorry, I should have phrased it better in its entirety. "Sob stories" pollute the airwaves during AGDQs. That is the opinion of more people than anyone can imagine. It's not nice to bring those opinions out, but there. And in relation that I wonder where the donors are, if the next ESA needs use a cancer foundation or the international heart&lung research to get donations coming in larger amounts.

Meanwhile, enough stuff happening in practiceroom #1 to make a third stream

Reading the chat, watching the recap, reading the twitters, god what a wonderful speedrun marathon :unsmith:

e: The four player race layout I like, but it makes for super tiny views that requires going fullscreen to watch it. Fine for 8bit stuff, stretching it for later consoles and PC. Some text elements could be larger in general, but it is readable and fine in default viewer size compared to ahem..

e: thekotti/Kotti, during the last few minutes of Titan Quest took a bee-sting on his index finger. Someone (forget the name) replaced him for the final fight, he had to give up the Max Payne 2 race obviously. Shiet.

37:53.74 to get all packages in VC, PB 36m. All robberies% completed in 10m28s. Mystery game now.

I think the amount of PC games sets this apart from GDQs hard. I hope they can figure PCs out for them, even if it's just for a single PC in the streaming room to run games on. Lovely bit of variety, the fresh air many people want by the sound of it (PC gaming at ESA)

PC setup was amazing this year. It's actually one of the reasons why SGDQ got so far ahead of schedule. The exception was Super Meat Boy which had port issues and some of the people that used their own PC, and even then setup for those PCs was still fast.

There was also a beefy PC indie game block this time around.

Then it's AGDQ my heatstruck brain was on about while forgetting all about SGDQ, crap.

Now it's casual GTA3 race, shanz on eidgod.

Record-long bonus streaming, now it's that HL2Ep2 (?) Peggle. Great wind-down, compared to last nights (European time) GTA insane-extravaganza.

e: That seems to be it for bonus and pirate streaming

Good useful feedback is coming to the thread on SDA, from what I watched the tech side of things seemed fine, and that there was no problem getting hold of people running audio and reading the few donations but apparently it was the other way around on-site. Wishing I had been able to attend.
