maybe being miserable
is not unpredictable
maybe that's
the problem
with me

if you ever contact them for support, at least here, first they check to make sure "YOU'RE GETTING THE BEST YOU CAN" which just means they check to see if you're using their modem/wifi router combo that is a piece of poo poo and defaults to having a wifi network with a generic Xfinitywifi SSID and has a bunch of settings you can't change from your end and they'll get really goddamn baffled when you call them to change something that needs changed but you can't do from your end because ???

While every other aspect of the hosting their wifi open spots in your house is pretty bullshit, isnt that connection technically using separate docsis 3 channels than your own service (unless you meat connection in the purely physical sense). Thats the argument they're making in the lawsuit anyway.

the problem for me isn't MY BANDWIDTH but more that I don't trust comcast to not ship a router that isn't hilariously broken in some way [e.g. security]

also that they raised the modem rental from $6 to $10

there were people complaining because even after putting the modem into bridge mode comcast eventually reset it and reenabled the public wifi anyways.

so if comcast is advertising distributed wifi for customers, does that mean they can put your house on a coverage map in an ad?

In theory the open public wifi wouldn't involve you in any sense as they are using a separate public IP etc. In reality police don't do that even if someone is doing something illegal on your internet connection.

Xfinitywifi requires you to use your comcast login. So it can count against your 300gb/m
