I'd say MMA has the most internet savvy fanbase for any sport, and there's so much content floating around these days that I can't believe anyone is buying or renting DVDs, let alone casual fans. Aside from that, no way its worth the same money to watch a replay as to watch live, especially when its $60 bucks. No casual fan is going to pay that much ever. As a non-casual fan, I find it very hard to avoid spoilers even till the next day (I'm in the UK), let alone a week, and even I wouldn't pay full price for a replay. I doubt they sell many PPV replays at this price, compared to what they'd do if it got cheaper, or used it as a fightpass "plus" feature.

At least over here in Socialist Hellholeland the 2-3 months is the duration how long the pay channel that airs the PPV events keeps it in VOD rotation. I'd imagine PPV holders in the US want to keep the show available for that duration since every 60 dollar drunken purchase is 60 dollars towards the bottom line.

Just saw the card, I am very sad that Marina Shafir is not in the UFC because Betcha Cohaya should just beat up all of Ronda's lackeys. Also Ramsey Nijem is so bad and never tucks his chin, I don't understand why he still gets fights. Tony Ferguson is cool but I was a little scared that he would lose the fight by diving on submissions. Danny Castillo is a terrible loser and bad fighter. Joe Soto may not be a better fighter than Barão, but he's definitely better at hitting TJ and not looking like poo poo. Looking forward to seeing him lose badly to some middling 135er and putting TJ's reign into question.
