Well, my previous doc was awesome, but he got poached by a med school in Alabama to go run the place. This new doc seems surprised every time I bring up poo poo that's been going on with me for years like it's something new to him. I get that I'm a newer patient, but it's getting ridiculous. The problem with going to any other VA clinic is the nearest next one is the one that gave me a staph infection. I've got to go all the way there for a number of procedures anyways which loving blows. What I need to do is get enough money coming in that I can just get a private plan and see a real doctor.

you need to find out if the VA hospitals & doctors by the big kentucky distilleries are any good with the medical issues you have. if they are, it would be pretty easy to whip together a roadtrip gang to share the driving/gas costs. so while you visit the VA, and do your thing, they spend their time drunk off their asses, and visiting those distilleries, and/or shooting at that knob creek gun range that allows just about anything below mobile artillery to be fired.

yeah, unfortunately for you, mr. nice, living in the south doesn't exactly help with lovely VA hospitals. must be some sort of magnet for incompetence. best VA I went to was in rural buttfuck Illinois for a couple years. now I go to the local one again because it was way easier to line up my c&p poo poo. really need to start looking for health insurance.

The loving Tampa VA is some type of hellish construction of suffering and despair. Like goddamn that poo poo is packed every loving day to the goddamn gills with people. I spend more time parking my loving car or using the dumb valet service they have there than I do actually talking to the loving doctor. I drive 40 minutes each way to basically hear "Ok well I'll schedule an appointment with this specialist thanks for showing up!" and away I go. Thank loving christ I don't have anything actually seriously wrong with me or I'd probably be loving dead

Memphis has been expanding poo poo and updating. At least we have a nice OIF/OEF/OND mental health wing. But most everything else is like pulling teeth. Tennessee must have some sort of record for all the lovely VAs we have. Memphis, Murfreesboro, and Nashville all have real poo poo histories of spreading disease or people dying in their waiting rooms (last time this came out about Memphis I was sitting in their waiting room, for 6 hours, so I got to watch the story break over and over and over on the repeat news channel here). Doesn't really matter, they're understaffed and the facilities are still partially hosed even with all the work. My psychiatrist is pretty awesome though and actually talks/discusses poo poo for the whole appointment, not rushing ya out the door with a pill pile.
