I tried a sketching, and... Well, I ran out of steam. I'm just not feeling too inspired at this point, but I need to practice and get over my impatience.

Simplified the original design. Been doing more sketchbook work and less painting. Need to scan some of that in.

I am still selling them at the moment. If you search Exploding Squid on facebook you will find my page and we can swap details. Here is the Coffee on a shirt. And Skull. Did you ever stop to think that maybe he was drawing a Trent you insensitive monster? Also, it's not to uncommon for a tree to get something like a swollen branch: I like the drawing though. I'm not going to tell you that though so you don't get an over-inflated ego. In other news, I found a big list of Cryptids on a "Cryptid wiki" site, if you need some inspiration for something cryptiddy to draw you should check it out. I drew a Hodag.

What is it a reference to besides star wars? (Unless it's a picture of the client and her dog.)

Er. We're of course talking "The little mermaid"... In this context, the face on her is quite... upsetting.

Some Jersey Devils. I got a free sample of the Museum Aquarelle watercolor pencil line a while back and decided to give it a whirl. VERY nice pencil, really rich and fun to work with.

The Jackalope avoids detection by being a master of disguise. Here, he's dressed up as Joe Camel. My daughter demanded the Chupacabra / dog thing I drew the other day have "red spooky eyes" so we colored it in together.

What's the resist made of? I've been playing around with silk screen & acetate cut by hand, but stencil cutting is a special form of hell, and I can't get 'islands' of non-colour.

Ah, yeah, come across that before and it looks awesome, but I don't do enough printing to justify the cost. Cheers for the info, though! Friend's character in an rpg. He's a fluffy kitten really.

Looks like a zombie minotaur. Welp. Time to face the music and post the Hodag I brought up. Might be good for a laugh if anything. It's a monster from Wisconsin that was proven a hoax. It looks like the offspring that would be produced from Godzooky having sex with a cow. It became extinct after its main food source, white bulldogs, disappeared from the area.
