Game: [Mansions of Madness 2e] Old One Folks Home System: Cooperative Board Game Format: PBP (with offscreen app) Players: 4 Description: Mansions of Madness 2e is a smaller-scale version of the Arkham and Eldritch Horror games, focusing on a specific story - like investigating Innsmouth, or rooting through an old mansion trying to figure out how the bad guy is planning to open a portal to horrible creatures. It's significantly simpler to learn than the other games, with a lot of the administration handed off to an accompanying app. With that tracking monsters and events for you, it leaves room for some twists and tricks that aren't possible otherwise, and the tighter scale means things feel a bit more coherent than similar games. This is a bit of an experiment to see how well working off an app goes.
