It also depends on what the person is playing and how much effort they are actually putting into it. If you're blind streaming the latest humble bundle you bought for a dollar because you're bored, then gently caress off with your donation links. On the other end of the scale, I sometimes watch Magic Online draft streams. I can totally understand asking for some compensation for a quality draft stream, considering the events cost some serious bucks to enter in, and the information you get from watching a skilled person play draft is valuable in itself.
