It's still somewhat staggering that if you want to experience the original movie, you have to look for a Laserdisc copy.

Disney has said they will release the unaltered cuts on blu-ray "sometime".

I managed to see a copy of What is It? From a lovely hidden recording and, while very odd, is a very good movie that deserves a proper release.

Pete and Pete Season 3 Apparently they've actually made the DVDs, and they're just sitting in a warehouse.
