Taking another look at that select screen, it's apparent that it's the second page. That means the game has 18 wrestlers alphabetically before Chuck Taylor. Of the 18, we know: Abadon Adam Cole Adam Page Alex Reynolds (just going to assume he's there because Silver) Andrade El Idolo Britt Baker Bryan Danielson Chris Jericho Christian Cage That leaves 9 spots. With Bunny and FTR as DLC, that means the more likely names are: Anna Jay Anthony Bowens Athena Billy Gunn Blade Brandon Cutler Brian Cage Brian Pillman Jr. Brody King Buddy Matthews Butcher Christopher Daniels So that list minus three names. MAYBE Anthony Ogogo if they thought he was going to be a bigger deal when they were getting started.

A trivia contest, the home run derby, and a battle royal with no ropes where you can throw balls and propane tanks at each other. I notice that while Cody is still in the game, they made sure to remove him from the stadium banner.

I saw a video of a simmed Casino Battle Royal and while the animations for the eliminations aren't great, it is hilarious how one of the Bucks has a move where he flicks his opponent in the eye and if you do it to a weakened opponent while they're near the ropes, they'll respond to the flick by backflipping out of the ring.

The CAW stuff gives me flashbacks to WWE 2K15 when they rebuilt the game from the ground up, so a ton of modes and match types were straight-up gone. At least here you can create women.

Meanwhile, there was a decent comic miniseries, action figures, a board game, and a novel. I really wish I could get my hands on the novel, but anytime I look it up online, it's always in the triple digits.

I got an advanced copy of that. It's pretty fun so far, but I'm still in the prologue stuff where I'm learning the basics. So far I've run into the Nasty Boys, saw Invincible and Atom Eve cheering me on in the crowd, had a Gundam knockoff tell me that there was a 141 2/3% chance of enjoying an upcoming wrestling show, and talked to that Angry Joe guy from YouTube. Also, they have podcast hosts as the game's Greek chorus.

I booted up the Switch version for the first time in a while. Interestingly enough, it mentions the Acclaimed DLC in the update. Also, the Dynamite stage that's available mentions that it's "Dynamite (Classic)."

I'm writing a piece on hard boss battles and it has me thinking, who's the hardest final boss in a wrestling game? I never played it, but I remember hearing how Jarrett in the TNA game was some special kind of Hell. Then there's the special Undertaker and John Cena boss modes in the 2K games. Master Barnes is up there just because 3 Count Bout is virtually unplayable to begin with.
