Phenix Rising posted:I know there are various preorders available for 2K15, but has anyone heard anything about possible system bundles? I think (assuming the reviews are great), I'll wind up getting a PS4 for this game, but it'd be great if a bundle were going to exist to get it all at once. Never gonna happen. Also thinking of upgrading to PS4 just in time, though.

No word on a PC release for 2K15? That's the only way I can see myself picking it up.

I got WWE 2K15 on Steam and I've been playing it for the past day. The creative options suck but I actually think the matches are kinda fun. Is that weird? Also is there a site with mod resources?

Golden Bee posted:Does anyone have links to the Youtube Plays of old WWE Create-a-Stories? We had some awesome ones, including "Dial P for Perfection" and "The Goldust mysteries", but they're ungoogleable now. I created "P for Perfection" and probably still have the file on my 360, though I don't have the game anymore (2010, I think?). I miss Detective Ziggler and Vance Archer's INTENSE adventures.

Why would anyone want a new game in the AKI engine? Those games REALLY don't hold up today.

No Mercy's controls are so slow. I grew up with it, but GRAPPLE > A forever is dumb.

Man, I think I'm just broken. I'm trying and trying, but Fire Pro is just kinda... not fun? It's a bunch of timing based inputs which is pretty boring since you need to be precise over and over and over again. It's like a weird Mario Party minigame. Downloading weird wrestlers is neat but all the match types are either incomprehensible (why can I pin in an Over-Top match?) or just the same. Even watching matches is dull - it's a bunch of grapples and random stuff happening and then 8 minutes later someone pins someone. I definitely have had more fun with the 2K games. What am I missing?

Hi, so uhhh I'm not sure where else to post this outside of making it its own thread and I'm not sure this warrants it. I've been running a 90 minute VGCW-inspired bi-weekly wrestling show in WWE 2K22 on Twitch. AI fights AI with none of the winners pre-determined, but then I craft cutscenes around it while myself and a pal do live commentary over it. It's been a lot of fun and we're heading towards the first season finale. The first three episodes are on Youtube with the next four being edited together, but seven episodes have aired on Twitch. You can find the playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaY8wGSNNIo3nAqsnKGg4zn5dfFirIbj6 And a tweet thread detailing all the major plots: https://twitter.com/cart_blowers/status/1567633511368081410 But the go-home show is tonight, shortly after 7 EST! I figured maybe someone here would enjoy it! It'll be at https://www.twitch.tv/cartridgeblowers Thanks for reading and/or ignoring!

It's been a lot of fun and we're heading towards the first season finale. The first three episodes are on Youtube with the next four being edited together, but seven episodes have aired on Twitch. Awhile back I posted about the silly VGCW-inspired wrestlegame show I've been producing. Back when I posted this we were preparing for the "PPV" Season 1 Finale. There was lots of dumb stuff - Leonardo turning heel by kicking Link in the dick, Solid Snake coming to the aid of a beaten Yoshi, and Pepsiman beating the hell out of an injured Leon S. Kennedy - on top of all of the normal hilariously bad AI and glitches of a WWE2K game. Anyway, I wanted to share this here again because we've started/are in production of the second season and there's lots of other dumb great content coming - mysterious doppelgangers, flaming tables, and a big Japan supercard to name a few bits - but also because the first season is now fully edited and released. Content creation is not a full time gig for me, so this is just a labor of dumb love. If this sounds fun, give it a watch! Production starts out rough, but give it a watch! What else are you doing? Watching *actual WWE?*

It's okay that this game isn't perfect. Or even that great. I hope that it does well because I think a Fight Forever 2 with new stuff could be a banger. The critics are right, though. The silly mini games could have been cut to spend more time on match types (like there's not even a cage and exploding barb wire is not great), sharing CAWs online (this is wild that it's not a thing. Like, generate a recipe code or something), or even an expanded roster (missing most of the tag division is ridiculous). I do agree the shorter entrances are bad (this should be an option). The gameplay is cool and you can do some weird and kooky stuff. The graphics are perfectly cromulent. It just feels kinda empty. The comparisons are weird. This is not a worse 2K game. This is a more fun to play MDickie game. I'm enjoying it but I also don't think I'll come back to it much.

Here's where the review scores really come in: To say "DLC is coming!' means that at the very least right now this game isn't great. You can't rate it on a prospective future. Additionally this is a full price game when really it should be $40 tops - maybe $30 even. The rating is presumably for consumers. Obviously if you love No Mercy or AEW your own personal rating might be skewed. I do like AEW - if this were, say, an NJPW game I would probably give it a lot less time because I don't super care about Japanese wrestling. Again y'all, it's okay that it's not perfect. I don't think this is as fun of a game as 2K23. It'll be okay. I hope they make a sequel.
