My cube mate does it and has for about 8 years. Usually it looks OK, then it will be the most hilarious haircut ever and I get to laugh at him. He does it because he is cheap. I would expect similar results from you eventually.

Alternatively I pay $30 to get my hair cut after tip so what do I know, jokes on me.
