3 wasn't too bad. it was definitely a departure from its predecessors and had some problems, but it's nowhere near as bad as evolution.

evolution is playable if you're intentionally breaking the poo poo out of it because it has issues that'd make a bethesda developer laugh rage wars is my favorite but people don't like it for some reason

Rage Wars was cool because you could be a swarm of teddy bears or a raptor. Kinda sucked that it was arena matches only with no campaign though.
