Yeah, Jumanji is a really depressing film and it's telling that one of the gags in the end of the film is telling the kids' parents not to go on a ski trip because they know the parents will die.

That whole ending is weird. The two main characters lived their lives through adulthood and suddenly they're children again, remembering everything. The whole scene proceeds as if that's not a mind-blowing concept. The kids just laugh it off!

e: And that's not even to mention the fact that Robin Williams' character has endured a lifetime of horrors struggling to survive in a jungle with giant mosquitoes in it.
