Yeah honestly the flexibility that Jake has is something above and beyond what Fel can do. It looks really, really good and it ends up being a really cheap effective flanker which absolutely cannot be ignored.

I've decided that I'm going to start running TIE Bombers with Proton Bombs in an effort to counter all these A-Wing lists I'm seeing popping up.

e: I'm thinking 4x Gamma Squadron Pilots with Flechette Torpedoes and Proton Bombs. 100 points on the nose.

There's not really any other cards that are affected by this, I think everything else has 'another' written in the card text.

I'm not mega happy with Rebel Aces, if only because Imperial Aces seems fairly lacklustre now in comparison. There's a couple of solid cards and combos but Rebel Aces seems to be made of gold.

Since playing TIE Fighter more I've promised myself to actually use Maarek Stele, although it feels really bizzare to run an Advanced without it being Vader (Although technically, Vader flies the x1)

I still think that Vader in the x1 can be a good choice.

Disclosure: I like the Onyx SQ. Pilot art because I think it's pretty retro looking. Retro 90's Star Wars art looks rad and I'm sorry if you can't appreciate it.

Yeah but really if you face Defenders with HLC or even Interceptors it'll be fairly hard for you to make those 43 points back, even with your fancy B-Wing/E2 and 360 Adv Torps. I think the best part of the list is that Han is paired with C3PO, which is a pretty good combo.

Weeeeeeell I think it's pretty clear from the card text that Nera Dantels can fire torpedoes in any direction around her.

Also I thought this was pretty well clarified seeing it came up in Wave 2, in reference to the interaction between "Backstabber" and the Falcon/Slave 1.

Imperials still need the Avenger (whether it's an x1 title like I want it to be or a separate ship), the Xg1 and maybe the Missile Boat, and you could make an argument for something like the DX9 Stormtrooper Transport, although it'd be a weird what with the game not having real objective play. After that, they'd have to move on to the remote-controlled TIE variants.

As for Rebels, short of giving them rereleases of Imperial ships and a bunch more of the YT series, I have no idea what they could do.

I'm really confused at what role it's really going to play beside highly modifiable gunboat, which in a way is already fulfilled by the Shuttle. I could only suppose that the Assault Gunboat could be to the Shuttle what the TIE Interceptor is to the TIE Fighter - more offensively based but losing the support roles the Shuttle can fill.

The TIE Bomber is actually PS2 for 16 points and the Omicron Group Pilot for the Shuttle is also PS2. But you do make some pretty good points, as the Empire is generally lacking a Y-Wing equivalent ship.

e: I think any potential Gunboat will definitely be above 20 points for the PS1 Generic.

Of all the ship combos I've seen, I rate the Chewbacca build as among the most bullshit. How do you actually take it down beside the "just shoot at it with a lot of ships" because really it seems that Chewbacca can just invalidate a lot of the smaller, elite squads.

Well, holistically speaking, the fortress tactic may only be relevant against the hyper-mobile TIE Phantom/Interceptor anyway, anything packing Assault Missiles or HLC's will still have an advantage, and ships like the Firespray can already fire backwards which nullifies a draw of the 'fortress', that is being able to get in a round of unanswerable shooting.
