A question about squadron combat. When a squadron comes within 1 inch of an enemy squadron, are they basically locked together until one dies?

So how does escort work then? If an enemy ship is in range of both an escort and non they must attack the escort correct? The wording to me sounds odd like all your escorts on the entire board must be killed before any other squadrons may be attacked anywhere.

This might be a stupid question, but you can only have 1 admiral right? I assume you pick one for your flagship and that's all you get but I really couldn't find anything in the rules that said you couldn't take more than one.

I played my first game of Armada yesterday. Awesome fun but was confused a bit by tokens.

If I don't spend a dial I bank it as a token to be used for less of an effect later. I can only bank tokens equal to my command number. I got all that easy.

How many tokens can I spend a turn? Let's say I bank two engineer tokens with a ship. Can I use my dial command engineering along with the two tokens for a crap ton of engineering points all at once?

You can put multiple admirals/captains on one ship?

Pretty sure he means the flagship mechanic where you put an "admiral" on a ship and then that ship gives more points if it's blown up or somthing? It's been a bit since i've looke through the rules myself.

Yes this. For some reason I figured you could only put one named officer/character on a ship.

Got mine today! The new rebel mc80 is interesting. I has a good punch to it but seems light on defense. A glass cannon.

Surely by the time that the original trilogy rolls around the trade federation still exists. I wouldn't mind a few droid ships like the donuts of doom and a few others.

Rebellion question to break up store chat. When the turn track gets to a recruitment space, you draw two heroes and pick one. It doesn't really say what happens to the other one, but I'm assuming you discard them and are not able to recruit them at all in the current game. Am I playing this correctly?

Rebellion question. If multiple missions take place on a planet, do the subsequent missions include every hero. Or can each hero only contribute to one mission a turn?

Example: Luke tries a sabotage mission and is opposed by Darth Vader. After this the rebel player sends Han to the planet for a different mission. If the empire player sends another hero to oppose do you add up all the appropriate skill icons of both heroes on each side?

So there can be a strategy to stacking your missions in order to get the support to pull off an important one I suppose?

Next question. If an imperial tries to capture a rebel, but the rebel doesn't have the appropriate icon, does he even attempt to resist? And can the rebel call in an additional hero to help resist it?

So it is possible to capture a hero and they don't get to resist at all?

I know you can only send one person to oppose the mission, but even if you send one, you get to roll dice for every hero you have there with the appropriate skill?

Ok. Think I'm all straightened out. Played my first game today and these kept coming up when we had giant clusterfucks occur.

I think it’s s combination of the game itself and the Star Wars theme. It’s an excellent game on its own, but if you like Star Wars it’s much better. Also agreed that combat is by far the weakest part of the game.

Most of that is good to hear. Sounds like your thoughts on the favors is the same as mine. Some of the new options like Cad Bane and Hondo seem kinda wild so looking forward to trying them out.
