Terribleness ain't a zero-sum game: both Fez and La-Mulana are games that look like they might be good but it ends up that they are disappointing garbage that you'll never finish. e: They're no Shovel Knights is what I'm saying

spend your money on anything but fez and have a better time throwing your money down a storm grate will produce more visceral emotion, and about equal confusion as to why you're doing what you're doing. then go loving play cave story or, idk, milon's secret castle phil fish should be taken to a waste treatment plant so they can filter him out of society

One thing I'll say for Fez as an entry in the artsy indie platformer w/ innovative puzzle twist genre is that it was at least genuinely nice to look at and listen to so for me that carried it for a whole 30 minutes before I got bored. Which compared to like Limbo or Thomas was Alone is an improvement of some 27 minutes.

Did the silly platforming. Had fun for a little bit. Then the little completionist devil on my shoulder tried to get me to start working on the puzzles. Did that for a few hours until I got pissed off at Fil Fish's dumb garbage and gave up in frustration. I am so sorry I actually paid money for this.
