Goddamn that was a lot of fun. Took a couple of laps to get into the swing of things, but once I did I had a blast.

Agreed. Not sure how I feel about the 'snap back' of the car when you come out of a drift, but it feels really good. I can't wait to play more and with others. Its a beautiful looking game though. And "photomode" is awesome. Press F9 to take screenshots in photomode.

I'm using a 360 controller. I think my time is less than a second off of the expert ghost but I still can't beat the bastard. The only real advice I would have is to always start the lap at max speed and try to snap out of your drifts as early as you can.

Yep. On that last corner, make sure you ace it as close to the wall as possible. So your entry speed is quick. Master that, then your setup for the rest of the run and you can master the rest. But that is the bit to get right first.

That corner isn't as big a timesink the one at around the 40 second mark (expert car hits it around then anyway). Expert car does it perfectly and it's one of two where you pretty much HAVE to lay off the throttle or you WILL crash into the outer wall.

Oh no I don't mean about losing time there, I use it to make sure I'm at full speed by the start line. Getting it spot on is important for a good run.

Yeah you're right those. Those two cam be rough if you take them wrong. I lucked out one lap and did the whole track without lifting, but hosed it up on the last bend which ate my time, but I can't do it again, which is bugging me. But it can be done.

Also experts line isn't optimal at all, try not to follow it. Race your own time rather then racing the ghost, it'll teach you bad habbits in the long run if you start following him and using his drift points.

*edit*
And try to drift as little as possible. Start drifting late and finish earlier. You want to not be drifting just before you finish the corner amd just normal steering out of the bend so you're gaining speed as quickly as you can.

Oh, the Expert ghost does most corners pretty badly but for some reason it kept doing that one corner a LOT quicker than I could ever manage, well at least until I beat it that is. I kinda wish there was a way to disable ghosts as well as the skidmarks. I find myself instinctually drifting as soon as I'm on some.

If you go into the game folder there is another folder called replays. You can remove (make sure to backup!) The replays from that folder and you shouldn't see the ai ghosts anymore. You can leave your personalbest file in there and just race yourself.

But keeping the personalbest file wouldn't change a thing, I've already beat the expert ghost. :v:

Hahaha whoops. I missed that.
